Well, it s no Lizzie McGuire revival, but it s something equally exciting! The Lizzie McGuire reboot sadly never found its way to Hulu, but viewers are getting the next best thing actor Hilary Duff will star in How I Met Your Mother spin-off sequel series, titled How I Met Your Father .
As per Variety, the upcoming series is set to stream on Hulu. The new show hails from This Is Us co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who serve as writers and executive producers on the news series. Duff will produce in addition to starring, with Adam Londy serving as co-executive producer. 20th Television will produce the new series as it did with the original.

How I Met Your Mother aired for nine seasons in the US from 2005 to 2014 and starred Josh Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan.
Radnor played the character of Ted Mosby, who told his two children the story of how he met their mother by remembering adventures he and his friends had in New York City. However, the series finale was met with disappointment and backlash from fans who were unhappy with the outcome of the last episode.

The former show, which ran from 2005 to 2014, had a similar format, with Bob Saget s voice narrating a look back at Ted Mosby s (Josh Radnor) past dating romps and friend group, including womanising Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), ambitious Robin (Cobie Smulders) and couple-goals duo Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan).
