When it comes to electing judges, Ohioans are entitled to truth in packaging. As things stand now, in voting for judges, an Ohioan might as well be blindfolded. Two Republican-sponsored bills would help change that by requiring party labels to accompany the names of candidates for the Ohio Supreme Court and state appellate courts. As we editorialized last year regarding a different bill, adding partisan labels to November judicial contests would be a wise move.
