Deeply regretted by her loving family, son in law Kevin, daughters in law Lisa and Jessica, mother in law Maura, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Due to current government advice regarding public gatherings, a private family funeral will take place, for family only, in St Peter and Paul s Church, on Friday at 12 noon. Rick Snyder appeared in a Flint court Thursday morning and pleaded not guilty to two charges of willful neglect of duty as state prosecutors revealed indictments against nine defendants as a result of the Flint water crisis. Despite the lower-level charges compared with other defendants, the case against Snyder marked a significant moment in the state s political history. Snyder is the first Michigan governor or former governor to be charged with a crime for alleged conduct while in office. Nick Lyon Charged with Nine Counts of Manslaughter

Aaron KellerJan 14th, 2021, 10:43 am Former Michigan Director of Health and Human Services Nick Lyon has been charged with nine felony counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with his alleged role in a water crisis in the City of Flint. Lyon pleaded “not guilty to all counts” through his attorney during a live-streamed court hearing Thursday morning before Judge Elizabeth Kelly of Michigan’s 7th Judicial Circuit Court. The case is being prosecuted by the office of Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. Under Michigan law, involuntary manslaughter carries a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in prison and a $7,500 fine. Lyon is also charged with one lesser count of willful neglect of public duty under Michigan public health code. That charge is a misdemeanor which carries up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
