The death took place on Wednesday, January 27 of Liz Farrell (née Bonham) of Green Mill Lane, Portlaoise.
Peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth (Liz), beloved wife of William and dearly loved mother to Eoin, William jnr and Gemma. Cherished grandmother to Dylan, Zak, Liadh, Grace and Sophia. Deeply regretted by her loving family, son in law Kevin, daughters in law Lisa and Jessica, mother in law Maura, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Due to current government advice regarding public gatherings, a private family funeral will take place, for family only, in St Peter and Paul s Church, on Friday at 12 noon. On Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, the Ridgewood-based First Flight Theatre Company will bring him back to life with a virtual performance of “Salvador,” the Rick Young short play imagining the waning years of the eccentric Spanish artist’s life.
The production will be performed live online 7 p.m. Sunday, then be available for on-demand viewing through 11 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27. A benefit performance for The Actors Fund, donations start at $10.
The play follows Dali as he sits in the plaza in front of the Teatro-Museo Dalí in Figueres, Spain, greeting guests as they arrive from all over the world to take a look at his collection and reminiscing about his art, life, loves and losses. Nick Lyon has been charged with nine felony counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with his alleged role in a water crisis in the City of Flint. Lyon pleaded “not guilty to all counts” through his attorney during a live-streamed court hearing Thursday morning before Judge
Elizabeth Kelly of Michigan’s 7th Judicial Circuit Court. The case is being prosecuted by the office of Michigan Attorney General
Dana Nessel.
Under Michigan law, involuntary manslaughter carries a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in prison and a $7,500 fine.
Lyon is also charged with one lesser count of willful neglect of public duty under Michigan public health code. That charge is a misdemeanor which carries up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
