During a mayoral forum this week that focused on what types of state policies the candidates would pursue in Albany, City Councilmember Carlos Menchaca, a left-leaning contender in the race, was asked how he would handle working with Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The forum s moderator Ben Max of Gotham Gazette, reminded Menchaca that in the 2018 gubernatorial election he endorsed Cuomo s opponent, the actress-turned-progressive-activist Cynthia Nixon.

The local zoning board will hold a special meeting tonight, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom to hear public comment about a proposal to build a 178-room hotel at the corner of Chambers and Nassau streets in the heart of Princeton. The board could possibly render a decision tonight on the project.
In the fall of 2019, the owner of 20 Nassau Street, a 72,000-square-foot hub for professional offices in town that also features several retail spaces on the ground floor, sold the building to graduate hotels for $32 million.

The woman was Choi Moon-ja, a Korean bride who had just married a Black American soldier who was stationed in Busan during the war. Choi said she was gripped by insurmountable sadness and belated regret for her decision to leave her mother behind in the southern port city.
