The Trail Creek Fire started on July 8, 2021, approximately 20 miles West of Wisdom, Montana, as the result of lightning. 32,933 Acres have burned. 137 personnel are assigned to the Trail Creek Fire. The estimated containment date is November 1, 2021.

TROY â The Burnt Peak Fire in Lincoln County grew 300 acres on Sunday with the increased temperatures and gusty winds.
The lightning-sparked blaze is 9 miles southwest of Troy and has now burned 2,715 acres and is 19% contained
Most of the fire activity occurred on the west side where the fire made an uphill run to the top of Burnt Peak, producing an impressive smoke column, according to the Monday update.
Fire crews will continue to hold the south perimeter of the fire at the Keeler/Rattle Road and east while firefighters on the northeast will work to keep the fire west of Pony Mountain.

TROY â Fire managers report there has been little growth on the Burnt Peak Fire despite increased fire activity from gusty winds on Thursday.
The lightning-sparked blaze has burned 2,136 acres and is 15% contained. It s located 9 miles southwest of Troy.
Firefighters continue to patrol the existing containment lines and extend them to the north, towards Pony Mountain, and to the west, along Keeler Road.
The Friday update notes the potential for large fire growth will remain until significant rain or snow arrives on the fire area.
While there are no current evacuations, some residences in the area remain under a pre-evacuation notice.

TROY â The lightning-sparked Burnt Peak Fire outside of Troy in Lincoln County has grown to 2,066 acres and is 13% contained.
A total of 242 people including a Type 2 Incident Management Team are assigned to fight the blaze.

The South Yaak fire is burning in timbered, steep terrain approximately four miles northwest of Troy. It s 0% contained.
