How the seeds of Keir Starmer s meltdown began

The seeds of Sir Keir Starmer’s humiliation on Thursday were sown nine years ago on a cold February evening in a House of Commons bar, when Labour MP Eric Joyce punched two Tory politicians. In the 2012 incident, Joyce, a former Army major, shouted that there were ‘too many ‘f Tories in here’ before hitting a Tory councillor, splitting his lip, and headbutting Conservative MP Stuart Andrew, who was left with a bloody nose and concussion, which needed hospital treatment.
