The community is doing what it can to help those impacted. The company was founded by Allen and Eugene Stoltzfus and John Fairfield in 1992. Since then, Rosetta Stone says it has helped more than one million people in 150 countries read, write, and speak in different languages. The company was bought by IXL Learning back in March.

Rosetta Stone, a 29-year-old company based in Arlington, Va., and known for its language learning software, had about 40 employees at its Seattle hub when the acquisition closed in March.
