The RIDE Festival returns to Telluride this July, albeit in different form. A bevy of concerts including multiple performances from
Warren Haynes, Citizen Cope and The National’s
Matt Berninger will be held at seven different Telluride venues for 10 days spanning July 2 – 11.
Tickets can be purchased by weekend or for the full 10-day slate via Eventbrite starting at 10 a.m. MT on June 3 for those 21 & over. Festivalgoers can take advantage of the many outdoor activities Telluride has to offer including rafting, hiking, mountain biking and climbing.

For about 15 years, venue manager Gary Jackson has been right in the middle of the Southwest Virginia music scene.
A year at 202 Market led to about eight at Kirk Avenue Music Hall, then nearly six at Rocky Mountâs municipal venue, Harvester Performance Center, for the D.C.-area transplant. The latter job came to an end when Jackson announced his retirement in January. But Jackson is not through putting on concerts.
As his relationship with Rocky Mount was ending, a new one was emerging a half-hour away. Developer Dennis Crumpler, who owns The Coves at Smith Mountain Lake in Union Hall, brought on Jackson to book and promote shows at his waterfront community.

For Amy Beatty, who heads the city of Wilmington s community services division, the nearing completion of the amphitheater marks the end, or at least another phase, of a journey that started back in 2013 when the city purchased the 6.6 acres of land the amphitheater now sits on.
Beatty said the city is planning a July 4 grand opening of Riverfront Park Amphitheater featuring Wilmington bands, local artists and more, a way to show off the park (that) will also serve as a soft opening for the city and Live Nation.
