BAYONNE, NJ - Two Jersey City teens, 15 and 14, were arrested in the early hours of Thursday after being found to be in possession of a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Bayonne shortly prior to the recovery.
According to Captain Eric Amato, the vehicle and the two juveniles were located in the area of New Heckman Street, Jersey City where they were taken into custody at approximately 3:13 a.m. One of the juveniles is said to have provided a false name and was additionally charged with hindering his own apprehension.

Jose Dasilva, 41, of Kinnelon, was charged with identity theft, forgery, criminal simulation, and hindering apprehension, according to Police Capt. Eric Amato.
Dasilva was taken into custody at about 1:30 p.m. yesterday from the area of TD Bank, located at 1066 Broadway.
Officers responded to the scene on a report of a man, later identified as Dasilva, attempting to withdraw money from an account not belonging to him while utilizing a fraudulent driver’s license.
They were able to intercept Dasilva in the parking lot and the on-scene investigation led to him being positively identified as the actor.

A Bayonne man who punched a police officer responding to an early morning disturbance was pepper-sprayed and arrested, authorities said.
Derek Booker, 39, was taken into custody at 4:36 a.m. Sunday after a struggle with police in the area of 41st Street and Broadway, Bayonne Capt. Eric Amato said.
Arriving officers encountered Booker, who was irate and behaving aggressively, Amato said. As officers were attempting to investigate, Booker threw an object at the officers and left the apartment, In the building hallway, Booker punched a police officer in the face and he was then sprayed by police with a chemical irritant.

Booker was taken into custody around 4:36 a.m. from the area 41st Street and Broadway. Officers responded to the area on a report of a dispute and encountered him irate and behaving aggressively.
As officers were attempting to investigate, Booker threw an object at the officers and exited the apartment. While in the hallway outside of the apartment, Booker punched an officer in the face.
After deploying a short burst of pepper spray, officers were able to subdue Booker and attempted to handcuff him but he resisted. Officers were ultimately able to place him into custody without further incident.
