Each of the candidates has cross-filed to run as a Republican and as a Democrat for the seats. The top three vote-getters on each ballot will appear on the general election ballot in November.

The 16-year-old has Down syndrome and attends a life skills class at Emmaus High School. The boy was found an hour after he went missing Thursday. He was found by a member of a family search party quickly dispatched by Megan Foerst. She said the high school didn’t realize he went missing until police showed up.

Mike Flynn is a local host for WDIY s Thursday broadcast of NPR s All Things Considered. He has been listening to public radio since he was student teaching in the early 1980s.  Public radio and, in particular, NPR news helped him tremendously as a history teacher at Emmaus High School.  Now retired, he wants to help the station that helped him.  He feels honored to be able to share what he calls a treasure with his community.
