In March the city reported 368 breaches of domestic violence orders (DVOs), according to police figures. In February there was 268 reports of DVO breaches on the Gold Coast. Thousands of Australians rally behind the children of murdered mum allegedly burned to death

01:42 EDT, 24 April 2021 Kindhearted strangers have raised $200,000 for the three children of a mum who was allegedly burned to death by her estranged husband. Kelly Wilkinson s charred body was found early on Tuesday morning in the backyard of her home in Arundel on the Gold Coast, after neighbours reported hearing screams and the sound of an explosion. Her former partner Brian Johnston, 35, was found two blocks away on a front lawn in a semiconscious state .  The horrific tragedy shocked the nation and prompted an outpouring of grief and anger around the globe. Her distraught family set up a GoFundMe page earlier this week asking for help to pay for the funeral of their beautiful angel .
