A kind care professional who goes above and beyond to take care of people in their final days is set to be celebrated at a prestigious digital ceremony.
The Palliative Carer of the Year award is just one of a number of prizes that will be handed out at the LeicestershireLive Care Professional of the Year awards on Thursday (January 28).

The Chasers Road Trip: Trains, Brains and Automobiles aired its first episode tonight (January 21), following the quiz legends on a series of trips as they explore different places in their quest for knowledge.
Anne Hegerty, Mark Labbett and Shaun Wallace are the three Chasers who have embarked on this journey as they try to uncover the cognitive abilities of animals and artificial intelligence.
In tonight s episode, the Chasers headed to the USA to meet a bonobo ape named Kanzi who can communicate with humans using pictures and symbols. So, the trio competed with Kanzi in a memory game – all of the Chasers scored under 20 out of 30, while Kanzi beat them with an impressive 28.

With siblings living abroad they said the hard part was getting them home for the wedding. The groom’s younger brother is based in Canada, while the bride’s twin sister lives in Australia, where the borders were closed.
“Emma’s sister is home, my brother is home so we bit the bullet and said we’d go for it with a smaller party,” Mr Jesson said.
The bride said it was a “big thing” to have her twin sister home for the day.
