The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce is holding a ribbon-cutting at Freedom for Youth, the youth ministry in Knoxville. The organization will celebrate moving into its new location at 107 S 3rd Street. Chamber Director Emma Skahill says those in attendance can tour the facility and learn about the programs Freedom for Youth offers.
“Freedom for Youth moved into their new location last fall, and they’re now ready to celebrate with the public with a ribbon cutting. They’ll be holding an open house from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., and the Chamber ambassadors and board members will join at 5:15 for the ribbon cutting. We’re excited to welcome them into their new location officially. You can come tour the facility, enjoy some snacks, and learn about the programs they have to offer.”
Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Director Emma Skahill is settling into her role, after assuming the position on January 4th. She began work at the Chamber in February 2020 as Marketing & Communications Coordinator, and was promoted to Director right before the new year. She was honored to assume the position in what she believes is a strong organization.
“It’s a really big honor, I was very excited. It was right around the holidays, so it made the holidays that much more special this year. I really love working at the Chamber, it’s a strong organization, it’s got a great history the last few years, it’s got a lot of support in town. I know that being the director here is a really big deal, and I’m excited to continue working with members of the community and to have the community behind the Chamber.”
