URBANA, Ill. – When a diseased tree falls in your backyard forest, do you know who to call? The University of Illinois Extension forestry team led by Forestry Specialist Jay Hayek recently launched two new map directories to help Illinois woodland owners maintain healthy forests. “These directories will help anyone with questions about stewardship of Illinois’ forest resources get in touch with a local expert,” said Illinois Extension Forestry Specialist Jay Hayek. “Our goal is to make finding answers to forestry-related questions as quick and easy as possible.”
