With the authority to enforce all fish and wildlife laws in addition to state and federal criminal laws, the wildlife agents of Louisiana are tasked with protecting the natural resources of the state and are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, often patrolling alone and miles from backup.

I have to admit I was a little nervous about how our state would be portrayed last night on the debut of Animal Planet s new series, Louisiana Law. However, not even fifteen minutes into the first episode of the new series which debuted last night at 8:00 pm Central, all my fears were gone!
I also figured that most of the footage would be shot around the Gulf or in the swamps of South Louisiana, and those areas were indeed featured, but was pleasantly surprised that both Desoto Parish and Webster parish Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents were featured in this inaugural episode.
