Dragon Rider review – familiar animated family fun

While most of the industry has scrambled to find a release strategy during the pandemic, animated family films have thrived thanks to captive audiences and a need for home-based entertainment. According to rating compiler Neilsen, Pixar’s Soul was the most watched content over the Christmas period, while films like Trolls World Tour and Scoob benefitted from On Demand releases.
Sky hope to get in on the craze with Dragon Rider, the latest in their slate of original movies coming straight to the Sky Cinema channel. It tells the story of Firedrake (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), a young dragon living with his kind in a hidden village far from the destructive tendencies of humans. When their home comes under threat, Firedrake and his best friend, a forest brownie named Sorrell (Felicity Jones) go in search of The Rim

For this new library, Knowles cimbalom a type of hammered dulcimer was captured at the legendary
AIR Lyndhurst studio in London, with both close mics and a more distant Decca Tree array. It can be played in five preset modes: Performance, Short Damped, Short Sustained, Tremolo, and Warp, the latter using envelopes and sound layering to create synth-like pads and textures.

Celebrated graphic novel The Witch Boy is set to be adapted into an animated movie musical for Netflix.
The graphic novel, written by Molly Knox Ostertag, is set in a world where girls become witches and boys become shapeshifters, with those who defy this order getting exiled from society.
The series follows 13-year-old Aster, a male who has not yet shapeshifted and is fascinated by witches. When a danger threatens other boys, Aster knows he can help, but only as a witch, and he receives support from a non-magical and non-conforming friend, Charlie.
