The nominees for the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards have been announced. The announcement was broadcast on TV3 and via Charterhouse Live on social media. The Afro Harmony Band, Eno Barony, Kobby Salm and Efe Grace, Adina and Epixode, Mr. Drew, and Mister Okyere all performed during the hour-long gathering. Adina Thembi made history at the end of the announcement when she became the first woman to receive ten individual nominations and one featured nomination, bringing her total hits at VGMA22 to eleven. This feat is only matched by Ebony, who received seven posthumous nominations in the 19th Edition in 2018, winning four of them, including the coveted Artiste of the Year award, making her the first female to do so.
