More than 18,000 Angelenos have died of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Now, assistance could be on the way to help grieving families bury their loved ones.
The L.A. County Board of Supervisors voted today to explore ways to locally implement a federal program, designed to reimburse families for COVID-19-related burial costs.
The last coronavirus relief package passed by Congress included $2 billion to help with funeral expenses, through December 31 of last year.

More than 18,000 Angelenos have died of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Now, assistance could be on the way to help grieving families bury their loved ones.
The L.A. County Board of Supervisors voted today to explore ways to locally implement a federal program, designed to reimburse families for COVID-19-related burial costs.

As outdoor dining returns to Los Angeles County after a more than two month hiatus, health officials are reporting yet another deadly day for COVID-19.
An additional 228 people have died, and over 7,000 new cases were confirmed today.
With the exception of Monday, when officials ran into reporting delays, at least 200 people have died of COVID-19 every day this week in L.A. County.

An additional 228 people have died, and over 7,000 new cases were confirmed today.
With the exception of Monday, when officials ran into reporting delays, at least 200 people have died of COVID-19 every day this week in L.A. County.
Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer says COVID-19 cases could drop low enough to bring some students back on campus, but LAUSD teachers say they want more protection first.
