When I first arrived in Singapore in 2003, I essentially had no relationship with my religion and to be very honest, I did not expect myself to become a priest! It was precisely because I felt so ‘free and happy’ in Singapore that it started to feel disquieting. That was when I started attending masses at the Russian Orthodox Church.
