Tom Ridge, Charlie Dent among anti-Trump Republicans threatening to create a 3rd party

Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge and former Lehigh Valley Congressman Charlie Dent are among a group of Republicans threatening to create a new political party if the GOP continues to align with former President Donald Trump and his false claims the 2020 election was stolen.
Ridge, Dent and 150 other Republicans are part of “A Call for American Renewal,” which threatens to break from the GOP and form a third party.
The group includes former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman and former ambassadors, cabinet secretaries, and Republican Party chairs.
