The diplomatic relationship between the State of Kuwait and Vietnam was officially established on January 10, 1976. According to a statement given by Kuwaiti Consul General Khaled Falah Kh. A. Almutiri, the relationship is growing exponentially, with bilateral trade between the two countries dramatically surging to US$3.5 billion in 2019 from $350 million in 2017.
