LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $4.357, one day after increasing by four-tenths of a cent.
The average price is a half-cent more than one week ago, 7.2 cents higher than one month ago and $1.195 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has changed by two- tenths of a cent or less six of the past seven days.
The average price has risen $1.125 since the start of the year to its highest amount since Oct. 25, 2012, because of a sharp increase in the oil price and higher demand stemming from more people driving to work, according to Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California s corporate communications manager.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $4.337, one day after rising six-tenths of a cent to its highest amount since Oct. 25, 2012.
The average price is 1.4 cents more than one week ago, 9 cents higher than one month ago and $1.22 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has increased more than $1.10 since the start of the year because of a sharp increase in the oil price and increased demand due to more people driving to work, according to Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California s corporate communications manager.
