No new cases of locally acquired COVID-19 were recorded overnight with four cases in hotel quarantine.
In light of low case numbers Premier Gladys Berejiklian confirmed the state would scrap the four-square metre rule for all hospitality venues this week.

As of 12:01am on Friday, all indoor and outdoor venues will have their capacity increased to allow for one patron every two-square metres.
Gyms will not be included in the relaxation due to being deemed a high risk setting for the spread of the virus.
