The Colorado Avalanche once again rallied from a two-goal deficit but ended up falling 3-2 to the Arizona Coyotes on Monday night at Ball Arena.It was the third straight contest that Colorado tied the game after trailing by 2-0 at one point, but this time it couldn t come away with any points in the standings. The Avs went 1-1-1 in those outings.Johan Larsson tallied the game-winner for the Coyotes as his shot from the left point appeared to be redirected in front of goalie Philipp Grubauer and hit twine at 4:04 of the third period.

The Colorado Avalanche began a four-game road trip with a 3-2 victory against the Arizona Coyotes on Friday night at Gila River Arena.Colorado goaltender Hunter Miska made 16 saves for his first career NHL win, doing so against his former team.Nazem Kadri had three points with a goal and two assists, and Mikko Rantanen also had a multi-point outing with a power-play goal to begin the game s scoring in the second period and an assist on Andre Burakovsky s marker early in the third frame. Colorado: Philipp Grubauer started an outdoor game for the second consecutive season and stopped 27 shots.
Vegas: Marc-Andre Fleury played in his third outdoor game and allowed three goals on 39 shots.

Defensemen Bowen Byram, Devon Toews and Conor Timmins all made their NHL outdoor debuts in the contest. Prior to the game, 18 Avalanche players had participated in an NHL outdoor game, led by Brandon Saad and Nazem Kadri who both played in their fourth NHL contests in the open air on Saturday.
It was the third regular-season outdoor game for the Avalanche, with its previous such games being the 2016 Stadium Series at Coors Field in Denver against the Detroit Red Wings and the 2020 Stadium Series at the U.S. Air Force Academy versus the Los Angeles Kings. Gabriel Landeskog and Nathan MacKinnon are the only players to participate in all three of Colorado s outdoor games.
