Forensic experts reconstruct woman s skull found in 2011 in effort to identify her Published  article Experts sculpted a reconstruction of a skull found back in June 2011 in an effort to identify the woman.  WILMINGTON, Del. - Police in New Castle County, Delaware are using technology in their efforts to identify a woman whose remains were found back in 2011.  Back on June 5, 2011, patrol officers were dispatched to a wooded area of Sellers Park off of Edgemoor Road for a reported discovery of human bones. Officers arrived on the scene and found partial remains, including a human skull. An extensive search was conducted and officials also found a pair of blue shorts close to the remains. The remains were then handed over to the Medical Examiner s Office.

View Comments Nearly a decade after a woman s remains were found near an Edgemoor park, police have released photos of a skull reconstruction in the hopes that someone recognizes her. Police were called to Sellers Park, a wooded area off Edgemoor Road, on June 5, 2011 after a person called to report they had found human bones. Responding officers found partial remains, including a skull. Detectives conducted an extensive search,  but didn t find much other than a pair of blue shorts, police said. They gave the woman s bones to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, where a medical examiner determined the woman was 25 to 50 years old when she died.
