A series of photos shows Staten Islanders bundling up to protect themselves from the cold weather.
One photo shows Pat Meissner, a school crossing guard, with her face covered to protect her from the low temperatures. Another picture shows, from left to right, Ed Patterson, Joanne Ryan and Kathleen Patterson warming up wth a hot drink at War Memorial Skating Rink in Sunnyside.
Also pictured is an Oakwood resident who ventured out to do some shopping along Hylan Boulevard. And Paul Mulvey is seen on Loredo Street in Eltingville donning a Mexican wrap.
