PRYOR, Okla. â A Green Country teenager is still coming to grips with a life-changing diagnosis.
Javon Blake had blood work done on December 17th while he recovered from the Coronavirus. He had lumps in his throat causing him pain when eating or swallowing.
On December 18th, he got a phone call from his parents saying they were coming to pick him up and take him to the hospital. He had more lab work done and eventually a doctor diagnosed him with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a blood disease formed from his bone marrow.
N.J. teen needs a bone marrow transplant. Against all odds, all 5 of her siblings are a match.

It was like Christmas came early.
That’s how Morgan Hewitt, a 15-year-old cancer patient from Franklin Township, said she felt after learning that each one of her five siblings are matches for the bone marrow transplant she needs in order to survive.
“When I saw the paperwork, I started to cry, because I was scared I wouldn’t have any matches,” Morgan said. “I saw all five of my siblings matched me. It was like a miracle.”
