Most of the scenes here would fit quite happily into a Bridget Jones film as Matafeo brings charm to her goofy heroine

The BBC has packaged
Starstruck (BBC Three as a series and episodics on BBC One) as a “millennial” romcom and it’s true that the creator and star, Rose Matafeo, is under 30. But there’s nothing especially millennial about the content. This may come as a shock to the fresh-faced out there, but going to bars and having ropey one-night stands aren’t recent inventions. Aside from a brief sighting of an Uber and a reference to Bitcoin, most of the scenes here would fit quite happily into a Bridget Jones film.
