HCM City: early start proposed for over VND4.8 trillion traffic project

The Ho Chi Minh City management board for traffic works construction and investment has urged early completion of paperwork for construction on a road linking Tran Quoc Hoan and Cong Hoa roads to begin in December.
Costing more than 4.84 trillion VND (211.2 million USD), the project is slated to complete in July 2023, in conjunction with the completion of the Tan Son Nhat international airport’s Terminal 3

Two young men were arrested by local people during their escape after a failed attempt to rob a bank with a gun in Vietnam.
The armed robbery took place at the Agribank - Ha Tien branch at 37 Lam Son Street in Dong Ho Ward in Ha Tien City, Kien Giang Province, police in the city said on Tuesday afternoon.
At around 4:30 pm that day, two young men wearing face masks, helmets, and a backpack walked into the branch and threatened bankers with a gun, demanding they give them money.

Ha Tien Cement sees 29% decline in net profit 28 January 2021
Vietnam’s Ha Tien Cement has reported a 28.6 per cent YoY fall in net profit to VND153.97bn (US$6.64m) in the final quarter of 2020. Net revenue also declined 3.2 per cent to VND2.21trn.
The company saw a consolidated net profit of VND615.49bn on a net revenue of VND7.96trn in 2020, down 16.9 per cent and 9.9 per cent YoY, respectively.
