Subway Stairwell on Essex Street to Close For Three Months | The Lo-Down : News from the Lower East Side

Beginning next week, you won’t be able to use the stairs leading to and from the subway station on the southeast side of Delancey Street for three months. According to the notice posted recently by T.G. Nickel, the stairs will be closed for 95 days starting Feb. 27.  T.G. A 14-screen Regal movie theater is just about ready to open on Delancey Street, along with a newly expanded Essex Street Market (coming in the spring).
