Police arrested two suspects on drug and weapons charges after a high-speed chase in Sarnia Tuesday.
Officers with the department’s vice, community response unit and emergency response team officers tried to stop a vehicle around 10:35 a.m.

The suspect vehicle – initially stopped at the intersection of Exmouth Street and Indian Road while waiting to turn left – raced through a red light and headed north on Indian Road after officers approached, police said.
The vehicle turned onto Highway 402 and headed east to Modeland Road, where the suspects drove north at high speeds while weaving in and out of traffic, police said.

Sarnia police arrested a second suspect Thursday in the death of a 62-year-old man found earlier in the week in a home on Devine Street.
Police said Noah Elijah Brown, 28, was taken into custody without incident at about 1:45 p.m. and is now facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of Allen Schairer.

Police had previously said a first suspect had been arrested without incident at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday by members of its vice squad. On Thursday afternoon, police identified this first suspect as Joshua William Tomlinson, 35, of Sarnia.
