‘Futuristic’ car wash coming to site of Saginaw’s former State Lanes bowling alley

SAGINAW TWP, MI A new car wash with a “futuristic” design is coming to Saginaw Township.
Community Development Director Steve King said Saginaw Township officials approved a special use permit for Tommy’s Express Car Wash at the former State Lanes site, 5707 State St.
“The specs for the car wash are eye opening,” King said.

Popular Maine Car Wash Chain Fast Eddies Is Expanding Again
Ed Goff, the owner of the Fast Eddie’s Express Car Washes in Augusta and Brunswick is planning to expand again.
His plan is to open a car wash similar to his other locations on Broadway Street in Bangor.
In an interview with the Bangor Daily News, Goff said:
We have had Bangor on our radar for a while now and right now feels like the right time for us.
After a search of available spots in Bangor, they settled on the former Bangor Redemption and Beverage Center at 490 Broadway Street. Goff said he chose the site because, while it is in a high traffic shopping area, it is also close to the city’s residential neighborhoods. His plan is to demolish the old redemption center, which closed in 2018, in order to build a new car wash building.
