Curaçao, El Salvador and Martinique all confirmed to play at Toyota Stadium
Miami, FL (Thursday, May 13, 2021) – Concacaf has announced the full schedule for the 2021 Gold Cup, the region’s flagship men’s national team competition. This year’s edition will include a new Preliminary Round (July 2-6) prior to the Group Stage (July 10-20) and a revamped Knockout Stage (July 24 – Aug 1).
Toyota Stadium will host four matches this summer beginning with El Salvador facing Curaçao on Saturday, July 10. Toyota Stadium will also host El Salvador and the Prelims 9 winner on July 14, as well as a pair of matches on July 18 with Martinique taking on the Prelims 7 winner and Curaçao playing the Prelims 9 winner. It’s not officially official, but Flavio Augusto da Silva stated publicly the deal is near completion while those on the Wilfs’ side said the agreement has been reached.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Flavio Augusto da Silva announced the sale of Orlando City SC to the Wilf family on Wednesday.
“After eight years, a new chapter has opened for Orlando City SC, as I announce today that we are in advanced negotiations with the Wilf family to purchase Orlando City SC of MLS, the Orlando Pride of the NWSL and our related soccer assets,” Augusto da Silva said in a news release. “With their passion for the sport and Orlando’s two teams that are in position to compete for trophies, I am confident that the Wilf family will continue to push Orlando City SC to new heights and lead the Club into this next phase, both on and off the field.”
