Doh Kyung-soo, who is better known by his stage name D.O. of K-pop band EXO, has been cast in two forthcoming films less than a month after being discharged from his mandatory military service in January.
The singer-actor will play the lead role in the Korean remake of the Taiwanese fantasy romance film Secret (2008). Doh will be featured as the male lead while the female lead will be decided through open auditions. Shooting will begin in the second half of 2021, the production company Hive Media Corp said in a statement, Monday. Secret is a time-travel romance flick in which a piano prodigy Yie Xianglun (Jay Chou) meets and falls in love with a mysterious girl named Lu Xiaoyu (Gwei Lun-mei), while playing the piano in an old practice room. It drew more than 100,000 moviegoers in Korea, which was a first for a Taiwanese film.

They noted an individual idol s participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to the available 125,767,133 pieces of big data in Jan. 2021, this month saw a decrease of 4.86%.

EXO Baekhyun and TXT are becoming more popular in Japan as they continue to release music in the country. And because of their wide fame, the two Korean acts have earned their gold certifications with their new Japanese albums.
For a work to receive a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), it must reach 100,000 units shipped to Japan. And on Feb. 13, the RIAJ revealed the certifications for January 2021 and these include singles, albums, and music videos that were released between Jan. 1 and Jan. 31.

On the list, EXO Baekhyun s first solo Japanese mini-album BAEKHYUN and TXT s first full Japanese album Still Dreaming were revealed to have been certified gold in Japan. Both of the albums were launched on Jan. 20.

While no release date has been announced for the remake of Secret yet, shooting for the film is expected to begin in the second half of 2021.
