A man has been taken to hospital after being bitten by a snake on a Coast property.
Paramedics were called to a Eudlo property at 10:09am Friday after the man was bitten.
Owner Brad Drinnan said it was a big change for his family moving from a flower farm at Eudlo into a store front near the beach.
“We had a property … it was called Bright Petals and we had about 3000 gerbera plants under hot houses,” he said.
“That was our first step into small business and it was really fun and quite rewarding just unfortunately circumstances changed through the years.
“We had some problems with drought and also with land resumption from the government which forced us into looking for other ideas.”
Circumstances though have led Brad and his wife Katrina to expand on their online venture.
Jeff Addison from Sunshine Coast Rail Back on Track. He said straightening of the S bend at Eudlo was a critical piece of the puzzle, as it was the current choke point where trains were forced to slow down to 40km/h. Mr Addison said the line needed to be fully duplicated to Nambour and duplicated through Palmwoods to eliminate the current town division he said was being caused by the rail bridge at the bottom of Margaret St. He said he didn t support the current Stage 2 plan and at the very least he said a realignment within the corridor to eliminate the S bend would be a huge win .
