TORONTO A commercial litigator who was struck and killed by a U-Haul truck in an underground parking garage in Midtown Toronto on Friday evening was the victim of a “targeted” homicide, Toronto police say. According to investigators, 52-year-old Scott Rosen had finished work for the day at his law firm in the area of Eglinton Avenue and Mount Pleasant Road at around 5:30 p.m. when he was struck by the driver of a rented U-Haul truck in the building’s underground parking garage. The driver of the vehicle took off and Rosen was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A man is dead after being struck by a U-Haul vehicle in a parking garage in midtown Friday evening, Toronto police say.
At around 5:50 p.m., officers received reports of a man hit in a parking garage at Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East, and that the driver fled the scene.
A male pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in midtown Toronto Friday afternoon. Emergency crews were called to a parking garage in the area of Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East just before 6 p.m. When officers arrived, they located a man suffering from serious injuries. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Police said the driver of the vehicle fled the area. The vehicle is described as a white U-Haul van or pick-up truck with damage to the passenger side. It was last seen eastbound on Eglinton Avenue East. Police have not released a description of the driver.

Police say a man who was struck and killed in a midtown parkade Friday night is the victim of a homicide.
Officers were called a parkade at 234 Eglinton Avenue East, near Mt. Pleasant Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. following reports a pedestrian had been struck.
When police arrived they discovered a victim with no vital signs. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man has been identifed as 52-year-old Scott Andrew Rosen.
Homicide investigators have now taken over the case.
Investigators say they are searching for U-Haul van or pickup truck with damage to the passenger side that was last seen fleeing eastbound on Eglinton Avenue East.
