A Georgia district attorney will not pursue charges against a state legislator arrested for knocking on the governor’s door during a signing ceremony for a controversial voting bill.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis considers the matter of Rep. Park Cannon’s March 25 arrest closed after conducting multiple interviews with people involved in the incident.
“After reviewing all of the evidence, I have decided to close this matter. It will not be presented to a grand jury for consideration of indictment, and it is now closed,” she said on Wednesday. “While some of Representative Cannon’s colleagues and the police officers involved may have found her behavior annoying, such sentiment does not justify a presentment to a grand jury of the allegations in the arrest warrants or any other felony charges.”

One of the following applies:
The employee’s home workspace is where they worked more than 50% of the time for a period of at least four consecutive weeks. This can be either a common area of the home or a designated room; or
The employee only uses their workspace to earn employment income
and the employee also uses it regularly and continually for meeting clients, customers, or other people in the course of their work. Note: the CRA has previously taken the position that a “meeting” means an in-person meeting (therefore a telephone call would not suffice). To date, the CRA has not announced any changes to this interpretation in light of COVID-19, particularly whether videoconference calls would be considered “meetings”, but it is anticipated some clarification will be provided prior to the filing deadline for 2020 income tax returns.

Pasadena staple Lucky Boy, known for its massive breakfast burritos and Greek diner staple favorites, is suing food delivery app company Postmates over what it says is unfair business practices. Per Pasadena Now, the restaurant is alleging that Postmates “uses its name without authorization and intentionally posts a menu bearing incorrect information for the diner, including lower prices.” What’s more, Pasadena Now says, ownership believes that Postmates has even gone so far as to “retaliate” against the company by showing “alternatives with similar food when Lucky Boy is searched for, and this too diverts business away from Lucky Boy,” echoing language found in the suit filed this week in LA federal court.
