During National Volunteer Week, Monarch Landing senior living community had a large number of residents to recognize for their efforts. Among the generous group of volunteers were three noted for the assistance provided to their fellow residents and staff during the year of COVID-19.
Ron Sellberg was honored for his work with Monarch Landing s in-house television station, MLTV. Much of the senior living community s entertainment and programming during COVID was shared with residents via MLTV. Ron has worked on the TV crew since 2009, with responsibilities including recording, editing and posting videos and documenting editing procedures. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revised its guidelines for travel noting fully vaccinated people are less likely to get or spread COVID-19 and are safe to travel within the U.S. The CDC still recommending against non-essential travel but says the fully vaccinated or those who have recovered from COVID-19 in the past three month do not need to self-quarantine or get tested before or after travel unless their destination requires it. What does that mean for the fully vaccinated here in Petersburg?

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio Two PTA members for the North Royalton City Schools have been awarded the Ohio PTA Achievement Award after being nominated by fellow PTA members.
The Ohio PTA Achievement Award was created to provide an opportunity to celebrate individuals who have rendered outstanding service to children and youth.
In January, the North Royalton High School PTA presented this award to two outstanding volunteers: Laurie Weiser, who was nominated by Leslie Stetler and Ashley DeAngelis; and Debbie Sexton, who was nominated by Becky Cozzens and Cristina Hornik.
