Matwar Rawat is new Chairman of UCF
The Vice-Chairman Matwar Singh Rawat has been made as the officiating Chairman of Uttarakhand State Cooperative Federation (UCF), after the nominated Chairman Brijbhushan Gairola was removed by the Uttarakhand government several days back.
Rawat is an elected leader and was the Vice-Chairman of UCF. He has been made as the officiating Chairman in a virtual board meeting.
It is being told that Gairola is close to former Chief Minister of State Trivendra Singh Rawat but when the new Chief Minister Tirathi Singh Rawat took charge, he was removed from the position.
Pramod Kumar Singh who succumbed to Covid, was the Chairman of UCF for a long time till BJP upstaged Congress in the state.
