BREAKING Covid-19 revival in Laois continues with all electoral areas with above-average incidence

The revival of Covid-19 continues in Laois with the latest figures show suppression has waned further and all three electoral districts showing above-average incidences of the disease.
The latest Local Electoral Area (LEA) breakdown published on February 25 on the Covid-19 Ireland data hub covers the first two weeks of February, 9-22.
The Datahub figures show that there were 91 new cases in Laois in the 14 days covered by the latest data. This contrasts with 76 new cases in Laois to February 15 in the Portlaoise LEA.

Galway Bay FM Newsroom – The local electoral areas of Galway City Central and Galway City East are in the top five of areas affected by Covid 19 according to latest figures released by the HSE and the central statistics Office.
Figures released this week saw the areas ranked first and fourth respectively in the top five areas with the worst incidence rate of Covid 19 per 100,000 population.
The Local Electoral Area of Galway city centre had 254 new cases in the previous fortnight up to last Monday making it the worst-affected region in the country with a rate of 951.2 while Galway City East had a rate of 579.1 ranking it 4th following 154 new cases.

Cases of Covid-19 across Cork have dropped significantly in the last two weeks with numbers halving in almost every area.
Just 709 new cases have been confirmed in the Rebel County over the last two weeks, a huge drop from the 1,166 reported in the previous fortnight.
