County Councillor, Richard Udall says residents have reported people hunting in Laugherne Brook Nature Reserve. He said: They claim to be hunting for rabbits, but they do not have permission to hunt on city council land. “We must not allow anyone to hunt in this nature reserve”. “This is an outdated activity which has no place in a nature reserve, it has to stop, anybody engaged in hunting has to understand they are breaking the law, they do not have permission and it could be a serious offence. The reserve is full of wildlife, including mammals which have been traditionally hunted, but those days are gone; the reserve should be a safe place for all wildlife. The hunters need to know that we will do all within our power to prevent any illegal hunting on council owned land”.
