Community Supported Agriculture programs otherwise known as CSAs help farmers with the planning part, while allowing supporters to share in the harvest by paying up front before the season starts. Think of it as an investment in a local farm. “CSAs have proven to be a great way to reintroduce agriculture to local communities, while doing so with increased transparency,” said Gary Jalbert, president and CEO of Lyman Orchards. “I believe that consumers have an increasing desire to know where their food products come from, and CSAs provide them with that knowledge.”

Crispy Edge potstickers to expand beyond St. Louis in 2021 The company is one of two Missouri businesses to gain federal certification through the USDA’s Cooperative Interstate Shipment program, which opens the door to national distribution of its frozen potstickers. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Crispy Edge is moving full speed.  Owner David Dresner opened the city s first potsticker-themed restaurant early in 2018 and quickly developed a local wholesale market for the myriad varieties of sweet and savory potstickers that his team manufactured in the same building.   The Tower Grove South company is now one of two Missouri businesses to gain federal certification through the USDA’s Cooperative Interstate Shipment program, which opens the door to national distribution of its frozen potstickers.
