Local Government Minister Premila Kumar told Cuvu informal settlement residents in Nadroga that their lot allotment process could be completed by March this year.
She made the comment in response to queries from residents during a public consultation on the issue in November last year.
A resident, Rohini Devi, had asked Mrs Kumar on the expected time frame for completion of the proposed lot allotment process.
“What is the simple completion time frame for the allocation process, we have been waiting for the past six years,” Ms Devi had asked.
In response, Mrs Kumar said the ministry was on the verge of completing the process.
