Gov Walz urges Republicans in the Legislature to quickly pass police reform

ST. PAUL, MN Minnesota s Governor is urging the legislature to pass police reform this session. Governor Tim Walz said Tuesday the People of Color and Indigenous Caucus in the state Senate has a plan to pass police reform quickly and independently from other bills. Walz says he supports their efforts and encouraged republicans to join in the effort. “This morning I received a letter led by the Senate People of Color and Indigenous Caucus, outlining a timeline to pass meaningful police reform by the end of the legislative session. The plan would bring transparency, accessibility, and urgency to the effort to act on police reform in Minnesota.”
