Two long-delayed property ventures in the south and south-central regions of Vietnam have finally been given the go-ahead by authorities.
Lotte initially proposed to build its eco-smart city in Thu Thiem New Urban Area as far back as 2009
Lotte Group â the developer of the $900 million eco-smart city in Thu Thiem New Urban Area of Ho Chi Minh City â was approved by the government to continue the project after more than three years of delay.
Meanwhile, ITC Spectrum last week also received the green light from Binh Dinh Peopleâs Committee to continue its $250 million Vinh Hoi Hotel and Resort Complex, which initially received approval to be built back in 2006.
The future of the Burnett Heads Gateway Marina was back on the agenda at today’s Bundaberg Regional Council ordinary meeting; only this time it wasn’t smooth sailing.
While the motion for approval of a preliminary approval application for Stage 2 with conditions was eventually reached, it wasn’t without discussion.
Cr Greg Barnes put forward a proposed amendment which was deemed “out of order” by Mayor Jack Dempsey and failed as well as a motion of dissent which was also voted down.
With regards to the original motion, councillors Wayne Honor, Greg Barnes and May Mitchell voted against the approval motion; however it went through a majority in favour.
