On Sunday, Utah County Sheriff s Office found a 47-year-old woman who has been missing since last November alive in a tent while searching for her body with a drone
She managed to survive despite the area regularly experiencing freezing temperatures in December and January
She ate supplies left in an abandoned tent she moved into, and also survived on moss as well as grass, with cops saying she was underweight
Around Thanksgiving time last year, deputies searched the area and found an abandoned tent and camping equipment along with identifying information on the 47-year-old woman

UTAH COUNTY â UTAH COUNTY, Utah (KSTU) A Utah woman was found in a camping tent in a campsite area near the Dry Canyon Trailhead in Diamond Fork Canyon on Sunday afternoon, after being sought after for more than five months.
The 47-year-old woman, whose identity is being withheld, was first reported missing after a U.S. Forest Service employee noticed her vehicle in the trailhead parking lot on November 25, 2020, and wanted to find her to notify the woman of the seasonal gate closure on the road. A Utah County woman who had been missing for more than five months was found unharmed in a tent in Spanish Fork Canyon because a drone being used to search for her crashed near her camp.
On Nov. 25, the 47-year-old woman’s car was found in a parking lot at the Dry Canyon Trailhead in the Diamond Fork area. Utah County Sheriff’s Office detectives and search and rescue personnel were unable to find anyone in the area, and “telephone information” led them to believe the woman might be in Colorado. Believing the car was abandoned, they impounded it.
