Sutton s UN1F1ED² Global Packaging Group has paid millions to expand its footprint for the second time in less than two months.
The company, which makes packaging material out of foam, cardboard, wood and molded fiber, has paid $4.2 million for a 60,000-square-foot industrial building at 68 Providence Road in Sutton in a deal closed Monday. The deal was announced Wednesday by NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs, a Worcester realty firm that brokered the transaction.
UN1F1ED² bought the site from Holyoke manufacturer Universal Plastics, which couldn t be reached for comment.
The site of Universal Plastics, previously known as Mayfield Plastics, was last assessed by the Town of Sutton at nearly $2.8 million. Mayfield Plastics bought the site in 2000 for $500,000 and constructed the building four years later.
