Canadian dressage rider Mathilde Blais Tetreault comes back from two broken wrists sustained in the spring of 2020 to victory in her first International show of 2021 on a new ride, Fedor.
At the 2021 CDI Wellington on 28 - 31 January, Blais Tetreault returned at the Global Dressage Festival winning the Intermediaire II 3 class on Fedor with 66.647%
Early Career
The 29-year old Mathilde has been one of Canada s most successful Young Riders and Under 25 Grand Prix riders in the past decade.
She began her international career as a young rider in 2011 aboard the Swedish warmblood Michelangelo (by Amiral x Utrillo) and the Hanoverian Embasssy III (by Escudo x Silvio), representing Canada and winning multiple gold medals at the North American Young Riders Championships in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Week three of the 2021 Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) concluded on Sunday, January 31, with victory for the USA’s Guenter Seidel and Equirelle in the Grand Prix Freestyle 4 , presented by U.S. P.R.E. Association.
In their first freestyle performance together, Seidel and Leatherdale Farms and Louise Leatherdale’s 2009 KWPN mare by Florett AS earned a 75.830% from judges to top the class.

While there are no general spectators allowed at the 2021 Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) due to COVID-19 restrictions, there is ample chance for you to catch all the spectacular sport from the comfort of your own home.
In its 11th year and held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) in Wellington, Florida in the United States of America, the 12-week long festival will take place from 13 January to 4 April.

Adrienne Lyle, 36, represented the USA at the London Olympics in 2012 and the World Equestrian Games (WEG) in 2014, both riding the Weltmeyer son Wizard. After a two year break from the top of the sport following Wizard’s retirement in 2015, she then went on to ride the 2018 WEG in Tryon and at the 2019 World Cup Final in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Salvino.
Her current top horse is the 14-year-old Sandro Hit stallion Salvino, with whom she finished seventh at the World Cup Final in 2019, having helped the USA win team silver at WEG the year before. Also competing at international grand prix level is the 13-year-old Rousseau gelding Harmony’s Duval, with whom she got 2021 off to a good start with wins in the grand prix and grand prix special at the opening CDI3 of the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington.
