Chaired by Global Energy Group founder, Roy MacGregor, but separate from the energy sector services group, the firm is aiming to become a major local employer. It is on an “aggressive acquisition trail,” with its sights set on increasing its turnover from £85milllion to at least £150m over the next three years.

Sign Up The Port of Cromarty Firth (PCF) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Norwegian firm Gen2 Energy to import green hydrogen from Norway. The arrangement will enable the fuel to be distributed from the firth by road, rail and sea to customers in the Highlands and across the UK. It was described as a “massive boost” to the efforts by the Invergordon-based PCF and others to establish a “green hydrogen hub” in the area.
