Mesa Water District recently released its 2021 Water Quality Report to update the public on the district’s local groundwater supplies, provide information on water-use efficiency, and more. The report shows the water meets or surpasses state and federal standards.
An independent special district that serves 110,000 residents in Costa Mesa, areas of Newport Beach and unincorporated Orange County and John Wayne Airport, Mesa Water’s supply comes from local groundwater, including some pumped from deep underground and treated at the district’s Mesa Water Reliability Facility.
Board President Marice H. DePasquale said in a release issued Tuesday the district conducts more than 30,000 water quality tests annually to ensure water supplies meet rigorous drinking water standards.
